1 Product Designer - Role I led the design of the Livestreaming feature from its initial hackathon prototype through to the experimental release and the market-ready version. In close collaboration with the product manager and tech lead, I ran workshops and created educational material to align the team. To support sales, I produced demo assets including videos, prototypes, and visuals. I also gathered feedback from partners, users, and internal teams, using the feature itself as a testing ground.
- Process From hackathon to experimental release, we explored the boundaries of our existing post format to define how Livestreaming should look and feel. We continuously gathered feedback and prioritized requirements based on user and business value. Through rapid iteration on layout, interaction patterns, and chat mechanics, we refined the experience for both viewers and hosts until the direction was clear, enabling us to build the market-ready version.

We went through tons of iterations to make it feel great for both viewers and hosts. Every detail was fine-tuned to keep things smooth, simple, and engaging, whether you’re running the stream or just watching.
integrates a live video stream directly into a social post, using a clear “LIVE” badge and viewer count to drive real-time engagement. It encourages instant interaction without leaving the platform.
In the market-ready version we took livestreams beyond the usual post format and gave them their own space. It’s built to make hosts feel present not just like they’re playing a video. That shift made room for better tools, like real-time chat, so the audience can be part of the moment.

I focused on the small things that make a big difference. Scrolling pauses the chat so people can catch up without pressure, and the mini player lets them keep watching while browsing. It’s one of many little touches designed to keep the experience smooth and flexible.

Livestreams on mobile feel just as intentional.
